Santa's Coming to Town...
DECEMBER 4th - 5th, 2009
Downtown Tahoe City celebrates the "Holly-Days of December" with activities and events for the whole family.Mark your calendars for the first weekend of December. With the turkey leftovers nearly gone it will be time to get out of the house and kick-off the holiday festivities throughout the North Shore!! Here's a quick schedule of all the happenings:
Friday, Dec. 4th
Coldwell Banker Toys for Tots Community Event (3 - 5pm)
Tahoe City - Coldwell Banker Toys for Tots Community Event - Stop by from 3-6pm to drop off a new, unwrapped toy to help kick-off their month long toy drive. Enjoy hot cocoa, cookies, wine and cheese and a special appearance by Santa. Co-sponsored by Alpine Meadows, Homewood Mtn. Resort and Northstar.
Kings Beach Annual Town Tree Lighting (5 - 8pm)
Kings Beach - Make the quick trip to see our friends and community partners in Kings Beach for their Annual Holiday Fair and Tree Lighting Ceremony. Event starts at 5pm at the North Tahoe Event Center. Sponsored by the NTBA, Boys and Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe and the North Tahoe PUD.
Saturday, December 5th
Family Winter Wonderland - Photos with Santa (11am - 3pm)
Pictures with Santa in Heritage Plaza. $15 sitting fee of each family/group. Custom prints and holiday cards available through Barifot Mountain Photography.
Downtown Shopping - Boatworks Shopping Soiree (3 - 6pm)
Grab your Shop Local Card and take a stroll through town. Stop by the Annual Boatworks Mall Shopping Soiree. Explore Downtown Tahoe City and find that perfect gift for someone special in your favorite hometown shops, galleries and boutiques.
Annual Tahoe City Town Tree Lighting (5:30-6:30pm) (Santa to arrive at 6pm)
Return to Heritage Plaza for hot cocoa, caroling around the fire and join Santa as he helps us turn on the lights and thank the Rotary Club of Tahoe City for our new town Christmas Tree.
ANNUAL SHOP LOCAL CONTEST Dec. 1 - 26th
Shop Local and Win! Shop at any North Lake Tahoe Business Association, Tahoe City Downtown Association or Incline Community Business Association member and get one sticker on your contest card for every $20 you spend. Turn in your card at the end of the contest period and be entered to win VIP Access and Tickets to Special North Shore Business Association Events.
